If you see this, you’re in the wrong place

I’ve moved my blog to deborahbeatty.wordpress.com. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Musings on a Saturday Morning

As I sit getting ready for presenting my seminar, Watch Your Mouth, Your Subconscious Is Listening, it occurs to me just how much work this “not working” and a “little side job” is. Creating DeBorahBeatty.com is not in any way a side job, but still the feelings are the same. Between the normal demands on my time from friends and family, dumb stuff like chasing dustbunnies and washing dishes, creating art for sale and helping out at the local county fair, handing the business logistics for The Rainbow Factory and DreamSpace Arts, and then there’s still all the things I need to get done to pull this business together and grow it.

I find myself on my very own thrill ride, from my first step out of bed in the morning to finally stretching out at night. So many opportunities to use project management skills, time management, creative delegation, supply chain management, purchasing and materials allocation, doing the creative work for all the posters, booklets, and in-course materials. I’ve never had such fun.

I wanted to let you all know that there are amazing resources “out there” on the internet and on your bookshelves. My dear mentor, Daniel McBride always said, “To Succeed, You Must Read” and he was absolutely right. Millionaire Larry Winget says that over the years he’s read 4000 books. He’s written several as well. Have you heard the man speak? He’s very eloquent and knows his stuff! I found out about his actually by accident, flipping channels and found CNBC’s “Millionaire Inside” program. (http://www.cnbc.com/id/17912006/). It’s really an awesome site and you can go to the individual personalities’ sites to hear them recap their views. I’ve never stopped to count how many books I’ve read in the last 10 years alone, but I know my wishlist at Amazon is pretty impressive!

If you’re willing to do the work it takes to read everything out there on your specialty, you can definitely learn how to maximize your efforts. Daniel also taught me a great way to get through all those books which I’ll share with you another time.

I’m thinking of putting some of these tips and tricks into an eZine. What do you all think? You can sign up on my website under newsletters or send me an email.

Thanks to you all, keep on pushing and all my best in your efforts this week.

Work well, play well, be well
